We’re pleased to announce the submission of a planning application to Stratford-on-Avon District Council for the provision of new homes and a much-needed new clubhouse/facilitates for Stratford-upon-Avon Rugby Club.
Having worked closely with the Council and local community, the development has been carefully designed to deliver long term benefits for both the club and the wider area. The development will provide a new clubhouse which will replace the existing building which is in a very poor state of repair and does not accord with modern standards. The proposed facilities will include a bar, function room, gym along with mens and womens changing, all designed to meet latest RFU guidance to support the club’s future growth and success.
The proposals also include the upgrades to the pitches and on-site car parking which will reduce existing pressures to on street parking along Loxley Road.
Due to a significant funding gap for the much-needed new facilities, the application is submitted in partnership with Cotswold Oak, a local housing developer recognised for delivering high quality, thoughtfully designed homes across the region. With a strong track record of working sensitively within local communities, Cotswold Oak is proud to support Stratford-upon-Avon Rugby Club in creating a sustainable future for its players, supporters, and the wider community.
The application involves the construction of 23 new homes on the site, with profits from the housing development reinvested into funding the brand-new facilities.
Details of the planning application (ref 25/02167/FUL) can be found here.
