We've signed Stratford RFC up to Easyfundraising, and it's one of the easiest ways you'll ever raise money for the club.
Here's how it works. When you shop online through Easyfundraising, the retailer pays the club a donation — and it costs you nothing extra. You pay exactly the same price you always would. Over 8,000 brands take part, including Amazon, John Lewis, Argos, Tesco, eBay, Booking.com, Just Eat, Sky and the big insurance and energy companies.
Most everyday purchases raise between 1% and 3% of what you spend. That adds up over a year — but the real difference comes from the big stuff.
Where the biggest donations come from
A weekly grocery shop earns a little each time. But certain purchases pay much larger fixed donations — often £15 to £90 in a single transaction:
Insurance — car, home, pet and travel insurance renewals
Broadband, mobile and energy — when you switch or renew
Holidays — flights, hotels and package breaks
Big one-offs — new appliances, furniture, a large Christmas shop
So the single most valuable thing you can do is check Easyfundraising before you renew your insurance, broadband or energy, or book a holiday. One renewal can raise more for the club than dozens of smaller shops.
Getting started takes two minutes
Go to easyfundraising.org.uk and search for Stratford RFC, then sign up as a supporter (it's free).
Install the Donation Reminder — a small browser add-on that pops up whenever you land on a participating retailer, so you never forget to click through. This one step stops most missed donations.
Shop as normal. Just start your purchase from the Easyfundraising site or click the reminder, and the donation lands automatically.
If every player, parent, volunteer and supporter signs up and runs their normal shopping through it — plus the occasional big purchase — we can comfortably raise four figures a year for Stratford RFC. That's kit, equipment and pitch costs covered, just by shopping the way you already do.
Sign up today, share it with the family, and let's see what the Stratford RFC community can raise together.
